Quilters and
those who appreciate quilted art, mark your calendars for a
month long quilt show at the museum. The Centennial Quilt
that many quilters have been working on this past year will
be displayed. This special quilt represents the 100th year
anniversary of the Riverview Union High School building,
which is now home to the Antioch Historical Society. If you
are interested in displaying your own quilt work, please
contact Eleanor O'Donnell at (925) 757-2409 for details.
There are two quilts to be raffled. One to be raffled off to
the public and a matching one to be retained by the museum.
The Historical Society quilt will be created by museum
visitors during the quilt show in February. This will be the
central focus of the show and your chance to be part of
Antioch's history. All funds go to the museum and are
$5.00 per ticket. The quilts are approx. 102" X 102".
Come help us stitch the museums quilt celebrating 100 years
of our building. Bring your own needles and scissors. We
have the thread. The quilting bee will be lead by Donna
Paladino, long time local quilter.
