The Antioch Historical
Society dedicated the Museum’s theater on Saturday, May 17th. Antioch High School graduate Michael
Semanick, who has won two Academy Awards for Best Sound on pictures
was on hand to celebrate the event. Michael won his academy awards for "King
Kong" and for Lord of the Rings - Return of the King". Michael is also up for an
Academy Award this year for his work on the movie “Ratatouille”. In addition
to these movies, Michael was the re-recording mixer for many popular films
including “Hulk” and Million Dollar Baby”.

Also on hand to “meet and greet”
was Tyler Steelman, former Antioch native who recently was the voice of
Cain in the 2007 film “Beowulf” and has a recurring guest role on the Disney
Channel’s “Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. Tyler will also
star in the film
“Seventeen” due out this August.
SPORTS LEGENDS BBQ -
June 8th
The Antioch Historical Society Sports Legends
Program will be hosting a fundraising BBQ on Sunday, June 8, 2008. The Outback
Steakhouse will be providing the menu which includes center cut sirloin seared
to perfection and seasoned and grilled chicken, plus all the fixins’. Cost is
$20 per person. Children 12 and under $10. Click here
