organization, presents its 8th annual Cesar E. Chavez State
Holiday Community Event, on March 28, 2010, Sunday, 2 - 5 p.m.
at Marion Beede Auditorium, 700 W. 18th Street, Antioch,
California.

One of
Cesar's values was Celebrating Community: Sharing expressions
of culture and identity through art, song, and dance.
The
program schedule will include dances of India and Africa, and
Mexico, with speakers, video presentations, exhibits and
displays about Cesar E. Chavez. This event will also highlight
the Guillermo "Bill" Muniz Educational Opportunity, which is
presented to a high school student to further their endeavors in
higher education.
Co-sponsors are Keller Canyon Landfill Mitigation Funds, Allied
Waste Services, Los Medanos College Foundation, Mirant, GWF Power
